Ethan believes in wedding films that focus on quality over quantity when telling your love story, crafting it with expertly captured audio and video to make something truly one-of-a-kind and unique to every couple. His goal is to make wedding films that are timeless, authentic, and cinematic, and that won’t feel outdated in 10 or 20 years.

Established in 2014, Visionary Weddings is one of the leading wedding cinematography studios in Alberta and specializes in European style, cinematic wedding films. My style can be described as moody, cinematic, and romantic. With an emphasis on capturing outstanding audio quality.
I limit the amount of weddings I take on every year in order to mindfully focus on creating films and experiences for my couples. If my films stand out among the rest, I invite you to inquire via my contact form. I typically book 12-18 months in advance.

Are We A Good Fit For Each Other?
I’ve been filming weddings for 10 years and memorialized ~300 weddings. I’ve been doing videography in general for more than 13 years.
How Long Have You Been Filming Weddings?
I describe my style as cinematic and moody. I love to capture the genuine and natural parts of your day, using minimal posing. I’m a balanced mix of serious and playful, and I film in a very timeless, European style.
What Is Your Style?
I do! I love to capture the love stories of all couples on their wedding day. No matter who you love.
Do You Film LGBTQ+ Weddings?
I don't offer partial day coverage because it inhibits my ability to make the most impactful wedding films for you.
Do You Offer Half-Day Coverage?
I do! I'm Edmonton based and film weddings all over Canada. I especially love filming in the mountains.
Do You Travel?
That's 100% ok. I do very minimal posing, instead making sure you two feel comfortable and confident enough so that your natural personalities shine through in your films.
We're Awkward At Posing, Is That Ok?
I use music from a variety of websites that offer music licences available for purchase. After filming your wedding, I look for the best song that fits the vibe of the couple and the day.
What Music Do You Use For Our Films?
I require a booking deposit and a signed proposal in order to reserve your date. When several couples inquire for the same date, I would have to book with whomever pays and signs first.
