Joel and Katie met through a friend as a set up. They had had some very awkward set ups in the past and hadn’t really been looking forward to it. They met in a dimly lit OJs in Mission. The conversation right from the start was easy! They chatted about so many things, Joel tried to explain his job as an engineer with stir sticks and napkins. He had a really great smile and the most dreamy eyes Katie had ever seen. Best of all, he really knew how to make Katie laugh – on their walk home from the bar he rapped an entire Nicky Minaj song. He was so unapologetically himself – and he still is.
Katie and Joel got married near the beautiful Canmore, Alberta mountains! Their intimate reception was at the Bill Warren Training Center with close family and friends!
